How do we Connect with Spirit?
There is an active process that takes place when we are having Communication with Spirit. And it looks something like this…….

Sub conscious mind Psychic faculties-Intuition-Imagination-feelings
Conscious mind Rational thinking
Sub conscious is the seat of all your psychic senses. All your imagination.
To link with Spirit we need to move our minds away from the conscious mind up to our subconscious mind and there we empower ourselves to move up to the Super conscious mind.
When we leave our physical bodies and go back to being high vibrational energy we no longer have to use words or languages to communicate. Both are very limited once you really think about it.
We also no longer have a physical body with a voice so we must communicate through our senses, which is a much more intuitive way to communicate. There is no thought or thinking involved. It literally becomes a bend of sending and receiving energy! I always say to clients that its a bit like playing a game of charades. Spirit will give us visions, feelings, sounds and smells and it is our job as a Medium to put it all together and present it to our Sitter (the person we are reading for).
And here’s the catch……
It is also our responsibility to not alter or change the information that we receive. There is a term used in this industry and it is called “Castle Building”. It means that you receive information from Spirit but then you embellish it or change it to make sense or try and make it something more by putting your own personal opinion in the information received. Having to build it up to something it’s not is the sign of a very poorly trained Medium who obviously struggles to hold the link with Spirit long enough to be able to receive enough information that it begins to build a picture and tell the story of the Spirit that you are Connecting with. Which is what we are supposed to be doing!
A example of this would be;
The Medium Connects with Spirit and only see’s an older lady’s face with grey hair. Nothing else. The Medium immediately associates the face she’s seeing with her own grandmother. Then the Medium starts to describe obvious descriptions of a grandmother. Saying things like she really liked to bake for you, she’s talking to me about cooking with you. She then starts to describe how much love she is sending to the sitter. Basically the poorly skilled Medium will just be trying to make something out of nothing. And they may get lucky and the Sitter may take some of the information but because there is no real Connection made the Poorly trained Medium really should not carry on. It is way more morally responsible to tell a client exactly what you are or aren’t getting than to start making things up or giving information that is so vague and incorrect.
This need to feel like you must castle build will only happen when you are not Connecting or holding your link with Spirit well.
The Psychic Senses / Faculties
Instead of words and language to communicate with Spirit we use the following ways to receive information ;
Clairvoyance-Clear seeing
Clairaudience-Hearing
Clairsentience-Sensing/feeling
Clairgustience-Tasting
Clairessence-Smelling
Claircognisance- Information received in our mind
All mediumship uses telepathy. Sent by one mind & received by another. All Mediumship comes down to Clair knowing but we receive it through the senses.
A whole different frequency!
The spirit world has a different frequency, a different vibration.
Remember no more human body=Soul!
We must increase our vibration to reach the spirit world. During most of our time we are not aware of the spirit world frequency. Just like you are not aware and can’t see infrared, ultra violet, bluetooth, or mobile phone signals. We know that all of these exist but we can’t see them. They are not visible to our normal physical senses but are visible to our psychic senses.
If we move our mind, shift our energy and raise our vibration then this whole other world of different frequencies/vibrations becomes available to us.
In mediumship we have a link with spirit which is different than our psychic link but we use both ways to link when we do a reading.
This all takes place in what we call “The power” or the “Gap”. The power is the fuel for mediumship. If you don’t have enough power you will struggle to make that link and get up to the higher frequency that is needed to connect with spirit.
The Medium is the go between
The Medium raises their vibration and Spirit lowers their vibration and they meet in the middle or the “Medium”.
We all have the ability to Connect with Spirit because of course as Souls we are very high vibrational beings. It is only when we forget who we truly are and get caught up in “Human mode” that we struggle with the lower vibrational energies and then also struggle to raise our own vibration up.
As Mediums it is vital that we stay “Energetically Clean” in order to be clear channels for Spirit to communicate through.
This is why you will hear me say a million times over…….
If you want to be a Great Medium you need to have an even Greater Spiritual Foundation!
What do I mean?
Well I’m certainly not meaning that you have to become a saint or that your not ever allowed to make any mistakes!
That would totally defeat the purpose of you coming here wouldn’t it? You have come here to learn from all the trials and tribulations that come along with driving this Human vehicle that you’ve chosen to be in.
It does however mean that you do have to realize and be incredibly aware about a few really important things like……
Everything is Energy .
Everything affects your energy.
Everything is a choice.
Everything comes from two basic emotions- FEAR or LOVE.
You will quickly learn that if you do not do the work you came here to do on yourself through your own Life Lessons that you will struggle to keep your vibration up high enough to link with Spirit. You also will make yourself vulnerable for things such as Psychic attacks or other lower vibrational entities.
